WHY RACE CAMP ACADEMY

Race Camp Academy is built to be a fun and learning experience for all levels of race fans including

  • Hard Core race fans
  • Teens working towards a career in motorsports
  • Teens looking for a fun summertime experience
  • Anyone who has watched motorsports on TV and wondered what it would be like to be part of the action

“We have seen a decline in the number of youths and experienced help in the world of Dirt Late Model in the recent years. This comes from a variety of factors that include modern cars that are mostly computer operated and built to be worked on at the dealership instead of their owners. This has created a gap where kids today have never experienced working on cars. It can also come from factors such as more completion for entertainment. We have noticed that when some kids do want to help work on race cars that they are often turned down by local racers, the reason being that they need a team that already knows how to work on the cars and can’t afford to teach and race at the same time. In 10-15 years we will see it start to impact every business in our sport. We needed an outlet to let kids learn racing and give them a chance to fall in love with it.”

Team Members will be expected to:

  • Prepare and work on a real life professional Dirt Late Model
  • Crew the car at the track during weekend racing events
  • Compete against real racing teams at actual races
  • Learn all aspects of the sport from competition to the business aspects of the largest spectator sport in the world

All while learning important racing and life skills such as:

  • Basic operations of a real race team
  • Skills vital to working on any type of performance race car
  • Team work and strategic thinking in real world situations
  • The knowledge it takes to make good decisions on the track and in life

In addition to the usual racing team operations the Team Members will be participating in field trips to some of the most famous racing business and locations in the United States located in Indiana, the world’s capital of racing. They will get a chance to see career opportunities in all area’s of the sports including

  • Pit Crew
  • Manufacturing
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Merchandising
  • Track Promoting
  • Team Members will get the chance to set through special class sessions and lectures from special guest that will include experts in all these major racing fields.
